Thomas's thoughts on McNulty:
"As a graduate of San Jose State University with
a B.A. in Creative Arts (Art History emphasis), I have
had the opportunity to be exposed to many different art
styles and movements. I find myself most interested in
the modern art movements. I think it has been the exposure
to other modern art styles that has made me so excited
about McNulty's work. I have seen thousands and thousands
of other abstract artists that might be on somewhat the
same line as him, but none have impressed me as much as
McNulty. I think part of it is the combined use of oil
and acrylic which helps his work stand out, and the fact
that he is so skillfull yet creative in his compositions
and color schemes. To me, his work is unprecedented. I
believe that anyone unable to see this perspective is
due to their lack of exposure and not having an adequate
reference point for comparison. I am grateful to have
found his work at a time in his career where I could make
several acquisitions."
