Mpls.St.Paul Magazine spotlighted me for their May 2010 issue for their coverage of Art-A-Whirl. My studio is located in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, and Art-A-Whirl is the largest open studio tour in the United States. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA) puts on the event, which includes over 1000 artists, galleries, breweries, and small businesses. There are a lot of visual artists in Minneapolis, and the historic Lowertown area of downtown St. Paul is home to a whole other group of artists who live and work in the various artist lofts. They have their own event called the St. Paul Art Crawl which happens in the spring and fall. I used to exhibit at that event before I had a studio in Minneapolis. Check out my full-page photo that was published in the magazine. My paintings Revelry and Matthew are seen behind me. I also included some outtakes from the photo shoot with Stephanie Colgan.
