Fun Fact: Here is a simple tried and true recipe to make old fashioned whipped frosting…

4 tablespoons flour
1 cup Milk
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup of butter or oleo

Directions: Blend flour and milk over low flame until thick and smooth like cream puff paste. Cool well. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until very creamy. Add cool paste and beat for 10-15 minutes. Vanilla may be added.
