Halcyon

Bring the rich color and expressive texture of Halcyon by abstract expressionist painter Shawn McNulty into your home with a fine art giclée print. Featuring a layered composition of vibrant greens, bright yellows, crisp whites, and bold accents of red, turquoise, and black, this abstract artwork adds depth, energy, and contemporary style to any space.

The original painting combines acrylic paint and pumice with a distinctive horizontal band of collaged paint skins collected from my palette knives. These layers create a complex surface filled with irregular shapes, contrasting textures, and unexpected details. The composition balances an open, light upper section with a dense field of greens below, connected by a striking horizontal strip of color.

The title Halcyon evokes a sense of peace and tranquility, creating an interesting contrast with the painting’s energetic marks and richly layered forms. That balance makes this artwork an intriguing addition to modern interiors, whether displayed above a sofa, in a home office, or as part of a larger contemporary art collection.

Choose from several giclée print options to suit your space and decorating style:

• Stretched canvas: A gallery-style presentation that brings the artwork to life on canvas, ready to display.

• Fine art paper: A classic print option that works beautifully in a favorite frame.

• Contour relief textured print on board: A dimensional presentation that adds tactile texture and enhances the visual character of the artwork.

Each option offers a different way to enjoy the color, movement, and intricate details of Halcyon without purchasing the original painting.

Whether you’re decorating a contemporary home, refreshing your office, or searching for distinctive abstract wall art, Halcyon offers a bold combination of color, texture, and expressive energy. Explore the available print formats and find the version that works best for your space.
