Weezer burst into the alternative music scene with a gasp in 1994. I listened to this album on repeat in college, and my band Vent covered El Scorcho from the subsequent Pinkerton album. The iconic album photo has become legendary and often parodied. It’s just four guys in casual attire standing side-by-side, which is very different from the cleverly choreographed portraits of the Beatles. Even though it’s technically considered their self-titled album, everyone refers to it as the blue album which shows you the power of color. I completely deconstructed the figures in this digital work, but your brain puts it together pretty quickly. This is an edition of 10.
