60×60″
2015
Waterloo is an original white and blue abstract painting on canvas by visual artist Shawn McNulty. This painting is is 1.5″ deep, gallery wrapped with painted edges, and ready to hang with wire on the back.
Fun Fact: The Battle of Waterloo occurred on June 18th, 1815, near Waterloo in Belgium. This is where the Seventh Coalition defeated Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte and his French army. This battle marked the end of the Napoleonic Wars. The title for my painting comes from the song Waterloo by Abba, which is a reference to the battle. The white horizontal band contains magazine pages collaged underneath the paint.
